Bela-Bela Mayor Jeremiah Ngobeni has announced that the town will finally have a TVET College by the end of the year.

Bela-Bela Mayor Jeremiah Ngobeni has announced that the town will finally have a TVET College by the end of the year.

Speaking during a career exhibition on Thursday 13 June at the Multi-Purpose Centre in the township, the mayor said it was about time Bela-Bela had a TVET College.

He said such an institution would be of great benefit to local learners.

Bela-Bela municipal spokesperson, Kabelo Mosito, on Tuesday 18 June said plans for the establishment of the college was at an advanced stage.

The college, he said, would be known as Bela-Bela TVET College.

Mosito said it was appropriate that the mayor announced the institution of the TVET College at the career exhibition, which translated into an institution nearer home for local school-leavers.

The Bela-Bela TVET College was to be housed at the Commando Municipal Building in downtown Bela-Bela.
