IDP and service delivery budget forum

The Waterberg District Council was scheduled to approve its IDP and service delivery budget implementation plan this week.

The Waterberg District Council was scheduled to approve its IDP and service delivery budget implementation plan this week.

Speaking during the 4th IDP Rep forum on Tuesday 21 May held at the OR Tambo Hall in Modimolle, Mataboge said the municipality does not have enough revenue for the 2019/2020 financial year.

He said it was expected departments would submit sectoral projects and plans in time, which he said are critical for the social and economic development of communities.

Mataboge said the meeting was for different stakeholders to engage in the most critical phase of the IDP process.

He said the integration phase of the IDP is critical.

Integration takes place in the form of various sector plans which are considered when crafting strategies and identifying projects which the municipality will eventually execute.

“As we have said before, our IDP must address the needs of the people in the district and take into account the existing conditions, problems and available resources for development. We believe that much work has been done and the creditability of our IDP would be realised,” Mataboge said.
