By his own admission, the local disc jockey said the victory in Polokwane has nudged him to even put more effort into the new project.

The self-taught spinner is a popular deejay around the Waterberg.

In Polokwane Themba walked away with prizemoney of R5 000, which he said he is investing into the success of his new EP.

“I will also be launching my T-shirt brand, in the meantime,” he said.

Themba is not new to the glitz and glamour of the club circuit, as he has in the past shared the stage with higher mortals such Black Coffee and Black Motion.

On his new release Themba will be working with the promotion company, Charcoal, which was earmarked to be released into the market by the end of June.

“My dream is to set up my own studio, and also sharing my experience with upcoming deejays around town and beyond,” he said.

On Saturday 25 May DJ Kinstan is headed for Hammanskraal for the Smirnoff leg of the battle of the disc jockeys.
