Transformation prayer ministry to assist schools with disciplinary processes

Disciplinary processes in schools within Bela-Bela and the rest of South Africa, have changed dramatically over the last couple of years.

The Transformation Prayer Ministry (TPM), under the auspices of the renowned Dr Kobus Crous, partnered with Edu Discipline and the Aletheia Experience Minstry to fascilitate events called Mollo Thaba Camps. These are held to assist expelled learners in re-establishing themselves for the better and bring change within their families.

The camps are currently taking place at the AcaDeo Camp Site, previously known as Emmerentia Geldenhuys, on the outskirts of Bela-Bela.

Learners who attended these camps, experienced a positive change, according to Crous.

“It is our purpose to help emotionally wounded people by allowing them to experience genuine Godly healing. Physical healing can only happen after emotional healing has taken place,” said Crous.

“After attending the camps, the learners are visited in their family environment. The families of these learners were empowered with knowledge and skills to bring necessary change within the family core.”

He went on to say that a healthy family means a healthy society.

The program is registered as a non-profit company. Crous said that during the disciplinary process, which is handled in most cases by members of Edu Discipline, the parents of the expelled learners is consulted and consent is obtained to attend a Mollo Thaba Camp.

At present learners attend a daily camp and return home every night, in some cases to an unstable environment.

“It is better to institute intensive therapy and be able to remove the child completely from his or her familiar environment to speed up the necessary change. Which is why we hope to receive some form of financial backing that can allow this to happen,” said Crous.

The ministry recently expanded by acquiring another building for such purposes at AcaDeo. Even though funds will always be an issue, Crous said it is extremely important that learners and their families who experience challenges, should reach out and make use of the TPM system to improve themselves.

“There is no salvation within the confines of the island mentality, and should people wish to change we will never turn them away.”
