The deceased was also the deputy director at the Limpopo Department of Agriculture.

He was laid to rest in the North West capital of Mahikeng on Saturday 19 April.

Lebele was remembered by colleagues as an individual full of compassion.

A special memorial service was held at Modimolle’s Or Tambo Hall on Wednesday, 17 April.

He was described as one person who always loved his work and people around him.

His colleague, Lettie Chokoe, said Lebele was a dedicated man who taught them a lot in the department.

“He was one-person who was patient with us,” she said.

The Mamelodi Sundowns FC dispatched a special envoy to the memorial service.

Thedi Matlala described how Lebele loved the Pretoria-based football club, and was always on the grandstands to support the brand.
