Still hope for Themba Godi roadshow in Bela-Bela

There was still a glimmer of hope that African Peoples Convention (APC) president and chairperson of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA), Themba Godi, could make a whistle-stop of the township in Bela-Bela.

There was still a glimmer of hope that African Peoples Convention (APC) president and chairperson of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA), Themba Godi, could make a whistle-stop of the township in Bela-Bela.

APC regional leader Jerry Mogotle said Godi was last week campaigning in Mokopane, and placed on record that his schedule was becoming tighter ahead of the national and provincial elections on Wednesday 8 May.

He said however, the APC leader was still considering making a stop at the disputed Zuma View.

Events management head Kagiso Chuene had told The BEAT that it was residents of Zuma View who had requested an audience with Godi.

Chuene had said the Zuma View community had complained about lack of basic services after 14 years of resettling into the area.

The lack of services included, among others, water and power supplies.
