Palm Sunday to benefit center

The Reamogetswe Centre for people with disabilities in Bela-Bela is set to benefit from offerings to be collected from a Palm Sunday event, scheduled to take place on Sunday 14 April.

The Reamogetswe Centre for people with disabilities in Bela-Bela is set to benefit from offerings to be collected from a Palm Sunday event, scheduled to take place on Sunday 14 April.

This is an event that takes place annually on the Sunday before Easter Weekend, where different participating churches march along the local streets to celebrate.

This year members of the combined churches will gather and march from Letlhabile Park to the local community hall, where a formal service will take place.

The churches are namely Evangelical Presbyterians Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, National Baptist Church and Uniting Reformed Church in South Africa.

The Methodist Church is also expected to take part.

This year’s event is an initiative by members of the Bela-Bela United Men’s Prayer and they engaged other churches to take part.

Joseph Makhubela of the United Men’s Prayer said other churches were engaged in order for the initiative to be able to reach more beneficiaries.
