The erstwhile Bela-Bela Residents Association (BRA) is on a makeover mission, with the movement now known as the Better Residents Association.

The name change, according to BRA chairperson, Piet Mabusela, was in line with preparations ahead of the May 8 elections.

BRA will put forward candidates for both the National Assembly and Limpopo Provincial Legislature.

The party’s secretary, Joseph Makhubela, has unveiled a list of the candidates, who include, among others, both the incumbent chairperson and secretary.

Seven candidates have been lined up to contest for seats in the National Assembly, namely Regina Walters, Siphiwe Chabalala, Leon Makhubela, Johannah Sepeng, Tebello Hloele and Justice Mooka.

Mabusela said BRA shall approach the elections with a “voice of the voiceless” theme.

A total of 15 candidates have been identified to stand for the provincial legislature elections, namely Mabusela, Makhubela, Vimba Motha, Lebogang Ramolotja, Irene Mashele, Violet Phasha and
Bobby Fernadez, Onicca Selamolela, Dorah Bodiba, Julia Nthite, Martina Manamola, Edward Tinyane, Tebello Hloele and Siphiwe Chabalala.
