IRC party gaining popularity in the Waterberg

International Revelation Congress (IRC) is making its presence felt in the Waterberg region of Limpopo, ahead of the much anticipated 2019 General Elections.

International Revelation Congress (IRC) is making its presence felt in the Waterberg region of Limpopo, ahead of the much anticipated 2019 General Elections.

Although the party is new to many locals, party president, Ernest Mammba said IRC was founded in 2008, and was registered with the IEC in 2013.

The party’s colours are green, yellow, white and blue, with an image of a buffalo finding pride of place on the logo.

This party was launched in Lephalale and Modimolle in recent weeks, with the launch of its manifesto.

Mammba called for support from various stakeholders, including the ecumenical movement.

He said his party was driven by the quote “love thy neighbour as thyself”.

“This commandment is very deep and not easy as it sounds. It means that for good wishes and dreams you have for yourself, you must also wish for somebody else,” he said.

As part of its manifesto, the IRC envisions vocational and technical education, beginning at primary school level, to ensure that learners would have acquired job-training by the time they
finish school.

The chairperson of the IRC in Modimolle Suzan Razwimisani said the party would bring about sweeping changes in the region.

Like the party’s motto says “We do not promise, we do it”, Razwimisani said instead of making endless promises, they would rather walk the talk.
