More shoes for needy learners

Bela-Bela’s Ignite Hope NPO has joined several other community-based initiatives to make sure needy learners have access to school shoes.

Bela-Bela’s Ignite Hope NPO has joined several other community-based initiatives to make sure needy learners have access to school shoes.

Ingite Hope founder Mpumi Ngomane said the demand for school shoes was a growing challenge which could never be underestimated.

She said the initiative had partnered with, among others, Capitec Bank to assist in the purchase and delivery of school shoes to primary schools in the township in Bela-Bela.

Ngomane said while Ignite Hope had been able to acquire a total of 100 pairs of school shoes, the target was set at 300 pairs.

She said community members were welcome to donate shoes towards the initiative.

Ignite Hope planned to hand over the pairs of school shoes in April, in time for the winter season. Those who wish to assist can contact Ngomane on 076 101 4889
