Community structures offer help and hope for failed matrics

Initiatives continue to kick in to assist matriculates who did not make the grade during last year’s examinations.

Initiatives continue to kick in to assist matriculates who did not make the grade during last year’s examinations.

In Bela-Bela, the #100KindsToVarsity collective embarked on a programme to assist learners who did not make it, with the annual matric second chance initiative.

The programme is being conducted in the local township, with the assistance of the local iCollege.

The latter initiative was being facilitated alongside the #100KidsToVarsity’s late applications week, which started on Monday 7 January.

The organization’s late application week was held in collaboration with MeshWater, Bela-Bela Maths and Science Centre, and the Bela-Bela Local Municipality.

“We will be assisting learners with tertiary late applications, college registrations, and also assisting learners with the Matric Second Chance programme,” said the #100KindsToVarsity member,
Mabel Ngobese.

She said the programme is being hosted at the Bela-Bela Community Hall.

For more information learners can contact Ngobese on 0734216920.
