The Mookgophong Community Hall will be a hive of activity next month, with the staging of the Sound of Revival festival scheduled for Friday 30 November.

The event would, according to the organisers, would serve to encourage members of the community that, “in the midst of all the negative things happening, there is a sound of revival, a sound
of peace and Mookgophong shall be healed.”

Artists lined up to perform on the day include Kgaugelo Kekana from Mokopane, Glenda Koka from Mookgophong, Nicco Malatje from Polokwane, Sinhle Mabunda from Giyani, Lucas Maloma from Ga-Sekhukhune and Sefako Mamabolo, also from Ga-Sekhukhune.

The build-up activities ahead of main event were set to start on Monday 26 November, culminating in the main festival.

The event will be characterized by music, dance and prayers.

Co-organiser Praise Koka said they were looking into the possibility of hosting the event on an annual basis, to enhance prayer consistency.

“This event is for you, and together we can win against all the evil happenings in our land. Let us come in large numbers and let the fire burn,” he said.

Award-winning Gospel Comedian Multi B (real name Hendrick Moreroa) was billed to host the event as compere for the day.

Tickets to this event are available at Computicket.
