Ikageng Youth Centre to support Motaung at trial

Bela-Bela’s Ikageng Youth Centre on Monday 17 September said it would go to court to offer support to self-confessed drug dealer, Thapelo Motaung.

Bela-Bela’s Ikageng Youth Centre on Monday 17 September said it would go to court to offer support to self-confessed drug dealer, Thapelo Motaung.

Motaung had in recent weeks stood on a public platform provided by the centre, to declare himself a self-confessed drug dealer, and that he wanted to work with, among others, the Ikageng Youth
Centre, to lend his hand in the fight against the proliferation of drugs within local communities.

He was expected to go on trial on Thursday 1 November.

Ikageng Youth Centre board member, Jonas Moreroa, said Motaung had the centre’s support, although this should not be misinterpreted to mean pronouncing on a matter which is sub judice.

Motaung appeared for the fourth time in the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court on Friday 31 August, accompanied by a lawyer.

He has been charged with dealing with drugs and is out on warning, pending his next court appearance in November.
