The Rudiments Virtuoso (TRV) live band has assured its supporters that vocalist John Mabusha is well on the road to recovery, following an accident that happened on Saturday 25 August near Bela-Bela.

The lead singer was riding to Bela-Bela with fellow bikers when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Mabusha extended his gratitude towards all who offered support following the accident.

“I wish to thank everyone for their support after I was admitted to St Vincent Hospital in Bela-Bela. Special thanks to (fellow) band members, family, friends, my wife, church mates and leaders for their emotional support,” he said.

Although the artist is walking on crutches, he confirmed that he was ready for Spring Day events.

TRV was billed to perform during the event hosted by Hapido Café at the Kasi Joint Car Wash, on Sunday 2 September.

“Besides the injury, which is gradually healing, I am perfectly fine. Give me a microphone today or any other day and I will deliver,” he said.

The artist further urged other motorists and bikers to be cautious on the roads.

He warned that potholes and bad roads could not only cause damage to a vehicle, but could result in a serious accident.

“This accident has reminded me that we should always appreciate life. I am thankful that I was granted a second chance. It could have been worse,” he said.
