Over 200 Waterberg delegates for Limpopo ANC conference

The Limpopo province of the ANC has announced its elective conference would be held from Friday 22 June to Sunday 24 June.

ANC provincial deputy secretary, Makoma Makhurupetje, said in a statement it was anticipated a total of 1575 branch delegates would attend the summit.

She further said there was an overall total of 1680 branches across the province.

Of the 1575 delegates, a total of 212 were expected to arrive from the Waterberg, with Sekhukhune at 282, Mopani at 317, Vhembe at 352, Peter Mokaba at 412, and the 10% delegates for PEC, leagues and RECs (Regional Executive Committees) at 105.

The PEC further adopted all the conference committees necessary for the preparatory work.

She also said the regional executive committees, such as the Waterberg, were mandated to set up dispute resolution committees, to resolve any disputes that may arise from branch-level general meetings.

Makhurupetje said the dates and roadmaps for Waterberg and Peter Mokaba regional conferences remained the responsibility of the regions, or alternatively regional task teams dispatched by Luthuli House.
