Unknown victims yet to be identified

The Bela-Bela police is reaching out to the public to assist them with information regarding three different cases of victims who succumbed to their injuries but did not have any form of indentification on them.

The first victim was taken to the Warmbaths hospital on Tuesday 5 June 2018 after he was allegedly assaulted in the Bela-Bela township. The man was between 30 and 45 years old, he is close to 1,8m tall and of slender build.

The second victim was killed on Monday 25 June 2018 close to the Codrington turnoff on the N1 freeway. The deceased was a victim of a hit and run accident. The man was between 18 and 25 years of age. No items that bear any identification was found on or near the scene of accident.

The most recent victim was killed on Friday 15 March close to the R516 turnoff to Settlers from the N1.

The victim, between the age of 30 and 45, was allegedly run-over by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The bodies of the deceased are kept at the state mortuary in Bela-Bela.
