The club circuit in Bela-Bela was turned on its head when Afropop sensation, Mlindo (real name Lindokuhle Magedezi), held a once-off gig at the local Multi-purpose centre on Sunday 20 October.

The gig was the brainchild of the fledgling events management company, Doc Master Entertainment, ably led by Bela-Bela’s Doctor Kgwebane.

Mlindo the vocalist hails all the way from Port Shepstone in KwaZulu-Natal.

He rose to massive prominence on the back of his debut track, Ama blesser.

The young artist was discovered online by the well-known Pretoria-based producer, DJ Maphorisa (real name Themba Sekowe).

Mlindo later worked with various artists on another hit song, “Akanamali”, among them songwriter Samkelo Mdolomba.

The famous artist performed in Bela-Bela under heavy security, and did later agree to take selfies with his fans.

Local artists such as the Hip-Hop ensemble, Majankrapa, Tailor K and Samkelo Shushag were the supporting acts on the undercut.
