Mookgophong Barcelona the pacesetters for Waterberg SAB Regional League

Waterberg SAB Regional League rookies, Mookgophong Barcelona FC, was expected to continue with the team’s superb form against Vaalwater Highlighters FC on Saturday 27 October.

Waterberg SAB Regional League rookies, Mookgophong Barcelona FC, was expected to continue with the team’s superb form against Vaalwater Highlighters FC on Saturday 27 October.

The newly-promoted Mookgophong youngsters walloped tried-and-tested campaigners, Vaalwater Boys2Men FC, 7-1 during the league’s kick-off last weekend.

But it was not to be smooth-sailing against likewise rookies Vaalwater Highlighters FC though, a team which opened the league with a fine 2-1 win over fellow rookies and homeboys, Vaalwater
Stormbreakers FC.

Vaalwater Stormbreakers have a home date with Bela-Bela Swagger FC, which lost 3-0 to Modimolle Terrors FC last weekend.

Modimolle Terrors FC has been fixtured to welcome Qualitho FC – which won 4-2 against Modimolle Celtic FC – at Ephraim Mogale Stadium on Saturday.

Talk-of-the-town Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC has an away date with Modimolle Celtic, also on Saturday.

This was to be the first Waterberg SAB Regional League fixture for the schoolboys from Bela-Bela.

Mookgophong Junior Stars FC was scheduled to welcome Bela-Bela Pirates FC, also on Saturday.

Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC has an away fixture against Modimolle Troublemakers FC at Ephraim Mogale Stadium, while Vaalwater Boys2Men FC was scheduled to play host to Opleft FC.

Many of the Waterberg SAB Regional League fixtures were called off last weekend due to wet weather conditions.
