The league newcomers — promoted from the Bela-Bela Local Football Association last season – managed to outplay seasoned campaigners Bela-Bela Pirates FC and Diesel ‘n Dust FC in recent pre-season friendly matches.
The Bela-Bela High School-based rookies first beat Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust 3-0 during a match played in midmorning on Sunday 14 October.
During the second match the academy’s under-17 squad embarrassed Bela-Bela Pirates FC with a narrow 1-0 scoreline.
Man-of-the-moment Kgaugelo Sebola (15), who is headed for bigger teams in Gauteng, was also on the scoreline.
Newly-promoted Bela-Bela Soccer Academy was scheduled to play Mookgophong Junior Stars FC in the boys’ maiden Waterberg SAB Regional League fixture on Saturday 20 October.
