Pastor Thema celebrates her birthday

One of the Waterberg’s most respected church leaders, Pastor Dimakatso Janed Thema, of the Antioch River Church in Bela-Bela, recently celebrated her 50th birthday.

The selfless Thema is a committed community-based campaigner, involved in grassroots work across many sectors.

She is the founder of the Dimakatso Jane Thema Prevention and Aftercare Centre, which focuses on people struggling with substance abuse.

She is also the founder and chairperson of the Defenders of Faith Network, which comprises of a total of eight churches.

Thema serves as the Limpopo deputy secretary for the Moral Regeneration Movement, chairperson of the Bela-Bela Community and Safety Forum, board member of the Bela-Bela Hospital, deputy secretary of the Limpopo Council of Church Elders Forum and chairperson of the Waterberg Ministers Fraternal.

She has also worked as personal assistant to former Bela-Bela Mayor Zakes Moeletsi.
