Members of the Uniting Reformed Church in Bela-Bela spread goodwill by donating groceries and sanitary towels to families from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The church started the campaign to distribute groceries on Sunday 8 September, with the sanitary towels delivered at various schools midweek.

Beneficiaries included the Putuka family from the village of Mmakau in the North West, the Magwais from Phake in Mpumalanga, the Kubaidis from Pankop, also in Mpumalanga, the Magwanas from Magareng (Mpumalanga) and the Mngomezulus from Mmametlhake.

Bela-Bela’s Ulando Combined Schools and Albert Lithuli Primary School have already benefited from the distribution of sanitary towels.
