Modimolle welcomes springtime

Socialites from Modimolle and surroundings were expected to come together at the Kasi Joint Car Wash, on Sunday 2 September, to usher in a new season and enjoy music performances by the local crème de la crème.

The annual event, hosted by Hapido Café, was billed to comprise of live band music and deejays.

Businessman and organiser,Thato Mohapi, said the purpose of the event was to bring people together and also celebrate local talent.

Local deejays Ginzo, OBR and Trinity are part of the line-up for the event.

“As we welcome spring, flowers will be blooming everywhere. Which is why we are also encouraging people to wear anything floral as the theme of the event,” Mohapi said.

The most celebrated live music ensemble, The Rudiments Virtuoso (TRV) will also mesmerise the crowd with their performances on the day.

Bass guitarist Neo “Mocks the bass” Mokhonoana said band members will also be donning floral outfits, while performing their Afropop and Afrojazz repertoire.

“We are urging people to come in numbers. There is no fee payable to be part of this event. Just bring your camp chairs and come unwind with us,” he said.
