Minister visits Bela-Bela hometown

International Relations and Cooperation Deputy Minister Reginah Mhaule touched base with her hometown Bela-Bela recently.

International Relations and Cooperation Deputy Minister Reginah Mhaule touched base with her hometown Bela-Bela recently.

The deputy minister’s entourage visited leaners at various institutions of learning.

The entourage first visited Raeleng High School and then proceeded to Maope High School.

Mhaule and her envoy also visited the Reabetswe Centre for the Disabled.

At the schools she donated sanitary towels and spoke at length about gender-based violence and community-rooted solutions to protect women and children.

Officials from the Bela-Bela Local Municipality and the national leadership of the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and the National Youth Service (NYS) Programme accompanied the minister during her visit.

Mhaule was a Struggle-era local political activist.
