Voting station changed in Bela-Bela

Voters of the Bospoort area in Bela-Bela were caught off guard when they read on social media that the voting station that served at Bosveld Bistro, was no longer available as a venue for the coming national election.

Die Pos spoke to Mafa Netshivhambe, spokesperson for the local Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) and she confirmed that the venue will change.

She however stated that voters who are registered at this specific voting station will NOT have to re-register. The IEC is currently negotiating to move the voting station and thus it will just be a change of address and should not influence the voting process.

Mafa said that the release of the new voting station is imminent and the national office will leave no stone unturned to have a new venue before the onset of this weekend, Friday 2 February to Sunday 4 February, when voters have an opportunity to register for the coming election.

Die Pos will keep you in the loop of things.
