New appointments at Modimolle-Mookgophong municipality

Several new appointments have been made at the Modimolle-Mookgophong Municipality.

According to Mayor Marlene van Staden, the municipality aims to improve and become a leading municipality.

“We are dedicated to achieving this and therefore we are bringing in people with new skills and knowledge.”

  • Adeline Shibulane has been appointed as Artisan: Roads and Stormwater. She will focus on improving road surfaces in the municipality, which have deteriorated immensely over the past few years.
  • Nthabiseng Maake is the new Water Quality Officer and previously worked at Magalies Water Board. “She comes with wide experience and connections and will focus on our water quality and blue drop status,” Van Staden said.
  • Makgabo Tefo has been appointed as a town planner and is a registered professional planner. Tefo, previously from the Bela-Bela Municipality, is going to focus on reducing red tape and getting applications processed more efficiently.
  • Mmapula Ngobeni has been appointed to implement the Individual Performance Management and Development System. This new system will be implemented for all the employees to be monitored, measured and held accountable. The system was previously utilised for top management only.
  • Obadja Chokwe is the new building control officer. He will check structures in the municipality and make sure residents adhere to municipal rules and regulations.
  • Tinyiko Mohale has been appointed in the position of Manager: Supply Chain Management. Mohale will be driving a clean audit in the supply chain department and make sure that the municipality obtains value for money when procuring stock.
