According to them the school is completely overcrowded and cannot accommodate the approximately 800 learners. The worst problem is the lack of functioning toilets on the school premises. The school has two separate ablution blocks — both closed due to blockages and broken plumbing. The photo depicts one of the ablution blocks closed to learners. After a number of complaints to the Department of Education, four mobile toilets were rented again and positioned next to the sportsfield. The only other bathroom in use is next to the pavilion but it is not functioning properly due to broken plumbing. The Post is investigating this matter and will follow up with the provincial Department of Basic Education who is renting the school premises from the Northern Education Trust.
