Letter: Please take care of your pets too

My wife Joan and I decided to pay Waterberg Stereo 104.9 FM in Modimolle a visit.

On arrival, we were met by a very friendly and charming man, Cobus Swanepoel, owner of the studio and his wife, Elsie.

What a special pair of citizens. He ushered us into his studio and offered us a cup of coffee and enquired about our visit.

Cobus is not only a fine presenter but is also involved in the ministry — which he preaches on air.

He enquired about our vocation and the reason for our visit. We told him that we are a retired couple and we have the time and the passion to be involved with pet care.

We take care of the pets of people who had to leave town and could not take their beloved pets with them. He assured us that he will promote the Pet Care Centre where we have been involved over the past seven years.

Unfortunately, pets do not like to be away from their owners for too long, but we can fill the void in their absence.

To Cobus, I wish to express my gratitude for availing himself to meet us. May God bless your work at the radio station and all your listeners.
