Amid the fears caused by the coronavirus outbreak which is rapidly spreading across the country, Modimolle-based philanthropist Leslie Nkanyane has decided to step in.

The Les Clean Detergents small business operator told The BEAT he had observed a rising demands for his products, but had to ponder and think about those less fortunate than those who support his products.

With this in mind, has set aside a small budget, from his own pocket, to make his sanitizers available to some of the families who cannot afford them.

“We produce more hand sanitizers now than ever before, so that we can be able to sell to local communities and also be able to provide others for free. We give families that are headed by orphaned children and also
destitute families free sanitizers,” he said.

Nkanyane said they have also reduced the prices so that everyone can be able to afford to buy the products during these difficult times.

Nkanyane started his operations in 2019, driven by the state of unemployment in the country.

The business is operative from within the township community at Phagameng township.

The young businessman said the company was working on strategies to create awareness through social media platforms, to ensure that locals are informed on what to do and also what not do during these times.
