Jerry Mofokeng saunters into Bela-Bela

Celebrated TV star Jerry Mofokeng — aka Scandal series businessman Neo Mokgethi — paid a visit to Bela-Bela on Saturday 29 February.

The actor was the guest speaker at the Dads in the Picture camp held at El Rancho Grande Lodge west of Bela-Bela.

Mofokeng had fathers and their children lining up to take selfies with him before and after his presentation.

Speaking at the event, the Scandal actor said children were close to his heart, and applauded the organisers for initialising this great annual event, the last of which was held at the North West lakeside hamlet of
Hartebeespoort Dam.

Mofokeng is one of the country’s most celebrated actors, having appeared in box office hit motion pictures such as the all-time classic, “Cry, the beloved country”, “Lord of War”, and the non-fiction movie “Mandela and De Klerk”.

In Bela-Bela he was the guest of the Dads in the Picture initiative, attended by fathers and children from across the nation.

The weekend was filled with fun activities such as sack race, aerobics and story-telling. The main attraction was the inspiring speech of Mofokeng on Saturday.

The dads and their off-spring departed for home on Sunday 1 March.
