Kudos for Spa Park Primary School learners

Spa Park Primary School in Bela-Bela has made both parents and educators proud.

Two of the school’s athletes, Ashley Ashendorff and Koketso Matjila, will be representing Limpopo province at the national championships scheduled for Ekurhuleni’s Boksburg from Wednesday 18 to Saturday 21 March.

Ashendorff will take part in the javelin sporting code for the boys’ under-15 age category, while Matjila is lined up to represent the home province in the girls’ under-15 middle-distance 800-metre event.

The two Spa Park Primary School athletes qualified during the inter-district finals held at Polokwane’s Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday 26 February.

In the same breath, ten Grade Seven learners from Spa Park Primary School emerged second in the Ramscar Convention competition based on knowledge of the wetlands and biodiversity.

The learners triumphed under the mentorship of educator, Tshepiso Ngobeni.

The school was awarded prizemoney of R250 000 during the Waterberg event on Friday 28 February in Modimolle.
