Lephalale FET College satellite in Bela-Bela up and running

The long-awaited Lephalale FET Satellite College in Bela-Bela is up and running.

The institution threw its doors open in December last year, and was expected to go full steam in the year ahead.

The Lephalale FET College in Bela-Bela is housed in the Old Municipal Kommando Building.

Bela-Bela Local Municipality spokesperson, Kabelo Mosito, said much work still needed to be done to take the college to full capacity.

He said the first intake of learners was at the institution for learner-ships.

Mosito said in the foreseeable future the institution was aimed at offering a wide variety of career options for school-leavers.

He said the authorities were convinced that the facility would bring value to locals at their own doorstep.
