Surprise results in regional football league

Modimolle Terrors FC’s surprise 2-0 defeat at the hands of Bela-Bela Diesel N Dust FC, saw the team drop from the summit of the league to second place.

Mookgophong Junior Stars FC moved from position two to the top of the standings, after beating ninth-placed Volcano FC 2-1 in Mookgophong on Saturday.

Another surprise result for the weekend was the 5-1 bashing of Bela Bela Swagger FC (position 12), by Modimolle Troublemakers FC (10).

Modimolle Troublemakers FC collected their first three points since the start of the season, after getting off to a bad start, losing their first five consecutive matches.

Multinature FC (11) of Modimolle also claimed their first victory of the season, after beating Vaalwater’s Boys 2 Men FC (8) 2-0.

In other parts of the region, Modimolle Celtic FC (5) played to a 1-all stalemate with Mookgophong Barcelona FC (7), while Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC (6) succumbed 3-1 to visitors Qualitho FC
(4) of Rapotokwane.

This coming Saturday a Modimolle derby was scheduled for the Ephraim Mogale Stadium, where Celtic FC takes on Terrors FC.

In separates parts of Mookgophong, Barcelona FC will host Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC at Extension 2, while Mookgophong Junior Stars FC welcomes Bela-Bela Boys 2 Men FC at Mookgophong grounds.

Qualitho FC was scheduled to host Volcano FC in Rapotokwane, with Bela-Bela Diesel N Dust FC expected to welcome Troublemakers FC.
