TV star mesmerizes Waterberg learners

Learners from across the Waterberg were given a rare surprise when SABC series, Skeem Saam actor, Meneer Magongoa made a surprise appearance on the occasion of the senior certificate countdown programme.

Limpopo education MEC, Polly Boshielo, hosted the 2019 National Senior Certificate (NSC) countdown programme, an held at the Bela-Bela Multipurpose Centre on Friday 20 September.

Meneer Magongoa, whose real name is Putla Setlhapelo, had learners from different high schools crying for more when he was introduced as the guest of honour.

Learners were drawn from high schools in Thabazimbi, Lephalale, Mokopane, Modimolle, Mookgophong, Vaalwater and the hosting Bela-Bela circuit.

The event started with a walkabout from Maope Secondary School to a fully packed local multipurpose centre, where a formal programme took place.

The event was graced by Boshielo, acting Waterberg District Executive Mayor Rosinah Boloka and Bela-Bela Mayor Jeremiah Ngobeni.
