This was during the annual Freddy Hlungwane Soccer Tournament hosted on Sunday 8 September.
The first match was between Bela-Bela Diesel ‘n Dust FC and Golden City FC from the Pretoria township of Soshanguve.
Golden City FC triumphed 2-1 over the locals.
In the second fixture Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC ran riot over Bela-Bela Pirates with a runaway 6-0 score-line.
The final was won by Golden City FC after they beat Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC 2-1.
Before the last game Bela-Bela Masters FC played a curtain-raiser against Bela-Bela United FC and won 2-1.
Hlungwane also played in the Masters games.
A live sheep was among the many prizes on offer.
Hlungwane said he was humbled by the support shown by the locals and visitors.
