The Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) has postponed its planned Tourism Month launch, initially scheduled for Friday 23 August.

The Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) has postponed its planned Tourism Month launch, initially scheduled for Friday 23 August.

The event has been moved to Thursday 29 August, and will be held at Bela-Bela’s ATKV Klein Kariba as per original schedule.

LTA spokesperson, Ntlhekeng Kgatla, said the event was postponed due to the unavailability of Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism MEC, Thabo Mokone.

It was envisaged that the Tourism Month calendar would be unveiled at the launch.

The national media launch was to take place in KwaZulu-Natal, followed by the provincial event, scheduled for ATKV Klein Kariba.

Tourism Month is an annual celebration aimed at highlighting the importance of tourism to the national economy.

Kgatla said the focus this year would be to encourage South Africans to consider domestic tourism.
