Wannabe celebrities from across the Waterberg are expected to converge in their numbers in Mokopane on Saturday 17 August, for auditions facilitated by Limpopo TV.

Those with the right voice and posture are advised to gather at Mokopane South Comprehensive School, to try their luck at becoming famous news readers and presenters.

Limpopo TV is looking to recruit new personnel fluent in Sepedi, Xitsonga, Tshivenda, Setswana, Isindebele, English and Afrikaans.

Possibilities for local talent in terms of the broader television network — national, provincial and otherwise — are abundant in that scores of Limpopo home boys and girls have broken into what
was a somewhat hostile environment for rural talent.

Already, channels such as the SABC, eNCA and Newzroom Africa continue to expand their footprint across many of the official languages.

A shining example is professional soccer veteran Phumudzo Manendze, who has created a huge audience, analysing soccer in his home language of Tshivenda.

Aspirant TV personalities were expected to flock to Mokopane in their numbers, arriving from as far afield as Modimolle, Mookgophong, Bela-Bela, Thabazimbi, Vaalwater, Mogalakwena and
Lephalale.

The auditions will focus on aspiring news readers and presenters who are fluent in the provincial geographical languages of Sepedi, Xitsonga, Tshivenda, Setswana, Isindebele, English and Afrikaans.

Candidates are advised to go to the Limpopo TV Facebook page, and download the auditions forms.

For more information, aspirant presenters and news readers are advised to call
072 722 6236.
