Tshepiso Boskraal rolls up his shirt sleeves

The recently-elected head of governance for the National Educational Collaboration Trust (NECT) in the Waterberg District, Tshepiso Meshach Boskraal, has hit the ground running.

The recently-elected head of governance for the National Educational Collaboration Trust (NECT) in the Waterberg District, Tshepiso Meshach Boskraal, has hit the ground running.

His first port of call was the Reading for a Meaning dialogue, held in Mogalakwena and Lephalale recently.

The dialogue is an initiative by the NECT, at which Limpopo MEC for Education Polly Boshielo delivered the keynote address.

Boskraal, the 33-year-old former Bela-Bela and Thabazimbi resident and political activist, attended school at Mphulo Primary in Alma, Mahlasedi Primary in Vaalwater, Bela-Bela’s Raeleng Middle
School and also Bela-Bela High School.

He joined the ANC Youth League in 1999 and served as the branch secretary from 2000 to 2003 in Bela-Bela, then held the same position in Thabazimbi from 2003-2006.

He was also elected secretary of South African Youth Council (SAYC) in Thabazimbi from 2009 to 2011, then the Waterberg District Secretary from 2012 to date.

He also serves as the secretary of the Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also serves as a member of the Waterberg District Aids Council.

The NECT’s objectives are to improve the quality of schooling.
