Mabaleng hosts fun run

The colourful Boikie “Run-Bikie-Run” Monareng is scheduled to host a fun run starting from the vicinity of the Lerato’s Grill House in the township in Bela-Bela.

Monareng has since raised his profile in the Limpopo province by being part of cyclists who completed a 533 km endurance race from Beit Bridge to Bela-Bela at the end of May.

He is also a regular runner at the annual Comrades Marathon.

The fun run in Bela-Bela would kick off in the early hours of Saturday 27 July.

The Fun Run will be run over two events, 10 km and 5 km.

Registration for the 5 km race is R20, and R40 for the 10 km event.

Monareng said the event was a fund-raising exercise for the Run-Boikie-Run Sports Development, which teaches youngsters mainly the fun of endurance cycling.

The fun run in Bela-Bela will culminate in other fun activities, such as aerobics.
