Formal launch for Bela-Bela Orlando Pirates Supporters Club

The Bela-Bela Orlando Pirates Supporters Club was to be formalised during the month of June.

Orlando Pirates supporters’ clubs from Gauteng were part of a fundraising event held at the Nkandla carwash complex on Saturday 4 May.

Local Orlando Pirates supporters also arrived in their numbers.

Bela-Bela Orlando Pirates Supporters Club interim chairperson, Simon Mtarini, said it would be an expensive exercise to launch a supporters’ club branch.

The budget for the main event was estimated between R50 000 and R60 000, when the national leadership of the Orlando Pirates Football Club brand would also be invited to take part.

The fundraising at Nkandla was in the form of food sales, car-wash and merchandise.

Soccer supporters from rival teams such as Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs were also in attendance.
