Divine Praise band to host auditions

Vocal artists and band instrument players in Bela-Bela have the opportunity to audition ahead of the establishment of a mass choir band combination.

According to the organiser, Lebogang Leshaba, the auditions would be facilitated at Mmamakwa Primary School in the township on Saturday 23 March, scheduled to start at 10:00.

The auditions would be hosted by Divine Praise musical band.

Leshaba said the auditions were aimed at identifying talent to form part of a mass choir and band ensemble.

“We have always been a musical band but we want to expand it to a big choir,” she said.

She said singers and instrument players were welcome to attend the auditions from across all ages.

Leshaba has been working with some of the legends in the musical scene, among them the celebrated Bheka Mthehwa from Joyous Celebration, and also gospel artists Sipho Ngwenya and Lucas Maloma.
