TVET invests R2million for Bela-Bela

The Lephalale TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training) College announced plans for the establishment of a likewise college in Bela-Bela budgeted at R2-million.
Speaking on the occasion of the Bela-Bela Mayoral Grade 12 Awards, TVET delegate Vincent Ngobeni said Lephalale TVET College would work closely with the Bela-Bela Local Municipality to make
the dream of a college in the town come true.
Bela-Bela Mayor Jeremiah Ngobeni presided over the proceedings at the Bela-Bela Multi-purpose Centre on Friday 18 January.
He said in line with the national government’s emphasis on education, the R2-million budget earmarked for the planned college could be increased to around R10-million going forward.
On Tuesday 22 January, he told The BEAT that quantity surveyors from Lephalale TVET College were in Bela-Bela to lay the groundwork for the establishment of the local wing of the college.
Municipal spokesperson Kabelo Mosito confirmed discussions had taken place around the issue.
