Kabelo Moselane on the map

Top achiever Kabelo Moselane (17) of Raeleng High School is a humble youngster with big ideas.

Speaking on the side-lines of the Bela-Bela Mayoral Awards standing next to his parents, Daniel and Ivy Moselane, the bright spark said his ambition was to become a medical doctor.

For sure that is a possibility after the Raeleng High School learner got distinctions in mathematics, physical science, accounting, English and Sepedi.

The awards ceremony was held at the local Forever Resorts.

Moselane swept home six of the awards on offer, adding to one he received at the Waterberg District Mayoral Awards in recent days.

His parents described Moselane as a humble and down-to-earth character.

“He always said he wanted to be a scientist or a doctor so we have always been reminding him that because of that, he had to work very hard to achieve his goals,” said mom Ivy Moselane.

Throughout the academic year, she said, the mother had to be firm with him, monitoring his whereabouts so that he did not lose focus.

Raeleng High School headmaster, Joseph Mashishi, said a lot was expected of Moselane.
