The trials for the Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC player, Kgaugelo Sebola, at the Bidvest Wits Sturrock Park home base was extended to continue until Friday 18 January.
Sebola arrived at the Absa Premiership club’s training facility on Tuesday 8 January.

The youngster told The BEAT in an interview that he was progressing satisfactorily at the trials.

“Satisfactorily” is but an understatement, after Sebola hit the net three times during the Bidvest Wits FC development side campaign in a recent Multichoice Reserve League fixture.

He said his assessment at Bidvest Wits FC was supposed to have ended on Monday 14 January, but that the technical staff had told him to stay on for a few more days.

The player first made an impression on big teams such as Caf Champions League champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC, and across-town rivals Supersport United FC, on the occasion of the Copa Coca-Cola Cup last year.

Another Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC player on cloud nine is Itumeleng Mangwane, who has since been snapped up by Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.
