Opportunity around every corner for Kgaugelo Sebola

Bela-Bela Soccer Academy player Kgaugelo Sebola was on Tuesday 8 January expected to depart for Johannesburg for trials at one of the country’s biggest soccer teams.

According to Bela-Bela Soccer Academy head coach, Sam Modise, the Bidvest Wits Soccer Academy has invited Sebola for trials.

The 16-year-old was last year poised for similar trials at the development structures of Baroka FC, but the move fizzled out.

At the time Sebola was identified during friendly matches between the ubnder-15 and under-17 sides of both Baroka FC and the Bela-Bela Soccer Academy, played at the township’s Moloto Stadium towards the end of last year.

The Bela-Bela Soccer Academy is based at Bela-Bela High School.

The school’s squad has since been promoted to the Waterberg SAB Regional League.

On the occasion of the Copa Coca-Cola Cup during the year 2018, Sebola drew the interest of Caf Champions League winners, Mamelodi Sundowns FC, and also the respected Supersport United FC, too.

The move to Bidvest Wits FC comes hot on the heels of the roaring success of another Bela-Bela Soccer Academy youngster, Itumeleng “Messi” Mangwane.

Mangwane has since put his signature on the dotted line for Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs FC.

At the age of 19, Mangwane stands a real chance of being considered for the Kaizer Chiefs senior team, and by implication a massive career in South African football.
