You’ve loved the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, the Grinch and the Who’s. Now, meet Jojo: one kid with an unstoppable imagination, who brings together all of your favourite characters from acclaimed family author, Dr. Seuss in a big musical adventure like you’ve never seen before!

From the Jungle of Nool to the tiniest planet in the sky Whoville, to Circus McGurkus and everywhere in-between, all while never leaving our own backyard, cleverly brought to life with Naledi Award-winning theatre company &CO in their brand new wildly theatrical production of SEUSSICAL, running from 20 December to 12 January.

About the Show:

SEUSSICAL is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza featuring music by Tony Award-winning team Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Aherns, book by Lynn Aherns and Stephen Flaherty, co-conceived by Monty Python’s Eric Idle, this “Theatre For Young Audiences” version is presented by special arrangement with DALRO, based on the numerous works of children’s author Dr. Seuss.

The star-studded cast includes Musanete Sukupwanya (Cat in the Hat), Mortimer Williams (Horton), Chantal Stanfield (Gertrude McFuzz), Carly Graeme (Mayzie La Bird), Abby Molz (Jojo), Sarah Richard (Mrs. Mayor), Yamikani Mahaka-Phiri (Mr. Mayor), Lois du Plessis (Sour Kangaroo) with Danelle Cronje and Danny Meaker.

Produced by &CO, directed by Matthew Counihan, music supervised by Rowan Bakker, choreographed by Sebe Leotlela, designed by Sarah Roberts, lighting design by Denis Hutchinson and sound design by Mark Malherbe, digital by Drew Digital. This production is based on a concept by Drew Bakker. This original production was workshopped as part of RedFest at Redhill School.
