City Power technicians are attending to unplanned power interruption at Wemmer that happened after incomer cable flashed this morning at about 1.43am.

The following areas do not have electricity as a result of the burnt cable:
• City Deep
• Flower Market
• Fresh Produce Market
• Transnet Hostel in City Deep
• Transnet Railway Line
• Bassonia
• Rosettenville
• Eastcliff
• The Hill
• Joshco Complex in Forest Hill
Currently the power outage is at 0% in terms of power restoration however technicians are busy trying to bring back power as soon as they possibly can.
As the supply may be restored at anytime, customers are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times
