WATCH: Joburg Water donates 15 computers to Diversity High

Diversity High School principal Hosea Maboya welcomed the kind gesture from Joburg Water.

Joburg Water (JW) visited Diversity High School in South Hills to donate 15 computers on October 16.

The team was accompanied by Molly Netshimbolimbo, the stakeholder relation department of JW and their spokesperson Isaac Dhludhlu.

Ward 57 councillor Faeeza Chame facilitated the donation.

Dhludhlu said this forms part of their corporate social investment project where they identify opportunities to give back to the communities.

“Today’s event is not a mistake; this school was identified in Region F. These computers are still usable, so I appeal to the school to please look after them. Computers these days are very critical, and it is important that learners get empowered and use these computers because most of the things are done on computers,” he said.

Diversity High School principal Hosea Maboya welcomed the kind gesture from JW.

The school’s head of department and governance, Mofor Norbet said: “Technology is at our behest and I want to thank JW. We are grateful for this partnership. This came at a time where we needed computers as some of our learners are from disadvantageous background and this will help them a lot.

“It is a wonderful that councillor Chame identified our school.”

Councillor Chame thanked JW for heeding her call to assist the school.

“This is our only high school in the area. This school is close to my heart and it is a good school. JW is always on board to assist us whenever there’s problem, thank you again,” she said.
