Parents visit Royal School to take a look at measures put in place

These measures were put in place to allow the safe return of the learners from these two grades on June 1.

Royal Schools Alberton invited the parents of its Grade Seven and 12 learners to the school on May 28 to see the measures put in place by the school to ensure the safety of their learners.

These measures were put in place to allow the safe return of the learners from these two grades on June 1.

Parents had the opportunity to tour the school grounds to see the measures for themselves, as well as engage with teachers about the coming return.

The measures put in place include the screening of learners and faculty, as well as clear indications to maintain social distancing. The desks in classes have been moved to ensure learners do not sit close to each other.

Royal Schools Alberton principal Susan du Plessis said the school is 100 per cent ready for the learners to return on June 1.

“We have everything in place thanks to a great team of teachers,” said Susan.

“What we do here for the children we do out of love.”
