What’s new at the movies
The movie awards season is in full swing for 2019, and Nu Metro The Glen is bringing you all the movies making headlines. Recent Golden Globe award-winner Bohemian Rhapsody (Best Picture: Drama; Best Actor) is still showing on The Glen’s Big Screen. If you are looking for a powerfully touching and truly inspirational film, then the critically acclaimed father-and-son drama Beautiful Boy – based on the true story of a family dealing with drug addiction and, starring Steve Carell and multiple award-nominee Timothée Chalamet – sits high on our list of recommendations. This film is the new release at Nu Metro The Glen this week.

Beautiful Boy is a deeply moving portrait of a family’s unwavering love and commitment to each other in the face of their son’s addiction and his attempts at recovery – based on two memoirs, one from acclaimed journalist David Sheff and one from his son, Nic Sheff. As Nic repeatedly relapses, the Sheffs are faced with the harsh reality that addiction is a disease that does not discriminate and can hit any family at any time.
