9 JAHRMARKT Winter Festival will be held on June 9 at 75 Piercy Avenue, Parkhill Gardens, Germiston. It’s going to be tons of fun! The Evangelical Lutheran Church East Rand, also known as the German Lutheran Church in Germiston, is once again hosting its well-known Jahrmarkt. This festival is synonymous with a beer garden. There will be German music, traditional German food, a Weinstube (wine lounge), coffee and cake, a raffle and lots more. Everybody is welcome, so be sure to bring some friends and family along. Come and enjoy a day of good company and food while supporting the community. Festivities will begin at 10am with a devotion ceremony. Stalls will close at 6pm. First event will be “The Felix Affair: Lothar Sittig, the Ossewabrandwag and the Trompke Network” by Evert Kleynhans with the main lecture “The Nanking Massacre 1937” by Charles Cohen.
